Where can I get the lowest price in European Union for Logic platinum 6. I found it in US for 619 USD but I have to pay plus 20% tax in Europe. Thanks |

I've been looking at english pricing and there you can have it for 528 GBP, but with the exchange rates available for me, you would still be approx. 93 USD ahead, even after 20% tax if you buy from the US. Then you have to deduct freight of course. I think you can forget Germany, they were much more expensive, as I find them in general to be.

What if someone in the US mails it to you, will it still be taxed?

Customs may or may not tax it as it depend of your address, your passed record with them, the value declared, the form of the clouds above your head.
Duty taxes are about 5% in Europe, the trouble is VTA, 19,6% in france for example… Also if the parcel goes thru the custom it'll be processed by a company like Extand (I HATE THEM) which will rise the price even more. Also from July 1st, all website selling to European customers must add VTA at their price wherever they are… so -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

It's not worth the hassle of getting stuff sent from other countries just to save a little money - I've had to pay every single time. I've had items sent from Switzerland, from the US and from other countries and either I'm very unlucky or UK customs are red-hot on this sort of thing.
I wasn't trying to avoid the tax - the products I bought (hey, it was nothing kinky, OK!) were only available from those countries. But if customs handle the import, which they will, then they'll charge you the duty for sure. It all works out virtually the same cost in the end. You could try getting someone to send it to you and declare it as a gift on the customs certificate. Might work. Or take a cheap holiday to the States and try and sneak your purchases back through customs in your luggage. But don't tell 'em I said that... |
