Looking For Simple Application For Mix & Burn Audio Tracks Options

Hi everybody,
I am a very simple user
All I want to do is to take a few tracks, put them together, cross fade them, maybe cut and make a nice complication.
Can you please tell what can do that?

garage band.
if you've got the tracks already, you'll be able to drag them into the track window, and new audio tracks will be created.
you'll be able to slip them forward and back, and automate volume fades, in and out.
you could even add effects.
you can then export the mix.
voila.

there are many more ways to do this. you've probably got garageband on your computer already though.

the problem with GrageBand is that you are unable ti set different bpm to each track only to the whole project unless i missed something there...

I see where you're going.
it seems you're suggesting a two step process-
the first is to record a track, using MIDI, with multiple instruments. perhaps you'd then like to record another track that slightly overlaps it, but in a different key and tempo. then bounce the two (or more) to a final mix.
perhaps i don't understand you correctly. but if that's what you've got in mind, it's better accomplished by recording each tune individually, bouncing to a stereo audio file, and then reimporting the mix back into Garage band. the "tempo" of the individual songs won't matter, and you'll be able to set levels and cross fades between songs. this would be possible in Audacity too.
