can anyone tell me if it is possible to use pro tools with my firebox. The school I'm going to uses primarily pro tools and I do not want to buy an m box

Pro Tools uses the hardware as a dongle and won't start up without it attached, so you'll need some form of M-Audio or Digidesign interface.

and pro tools does not use coreaudio, so no interface except a digidesign or 'select' M-audio interfaces will work with Pro Tools.
