He's taking about [link]www.kumulipo.com/index html[/link] I haven't tried the program yet, but hey if its working good for him and he's making music using OSX then it sounds like a good thing. Are you using Jag or 10.1 sailboat??

OhhhhHHHHhhh.

Well, it's Jasmine, not Jazmine, and a search for Jazmine just turned up endless hits on the singer. huh.gif That's why I was asking. And, BTW, that link is dead as a hammer because there was a space where a "." should be. smile.gif

Here's the working url:
www.kumulipo.com/index.html

And, hey, I think it's great for anybody who's getting *anything* done musically in OS X. More power to 'em! smile.gif

You go, sailboat! If you've got something mixed, get it up on the web and let us all hear it, will you? Love to hear what you're doing.

BTW, sailboat, have you tried Audio Hijack or Rax with Jasmine? If not, check those out. They both allow you to add effects, and might be useful.

Yes you are right It is Jasmine !! sorry about that !! www.kumulipo.com
all I have is a Imic from Griffin technology OSX on a G4 . No need for a pre -amp as Jasmine has a great mixer for voice ,drum machine ,guitar ect. I do my drum machine first then my vocals and rythm guitar on the next track in over-dub . adj. your levels with the fader at the right side of each track and hit mixdown and it's done right into an AIFF file into Itunes and burn baby Love it !!!

Hi Sailboat,

Could you expand your thoughts concerning Jasmine, as it seems pretty simple, not to say basic.

How many tracks can you reach? Or is this only overdub?

What editing functionalities (copy, cut, paste, normalize, eq, dynamic, etc.)?

Is "realistic" fast forward/backward really usefull? In what way?

The website is not very informative, IMHO...

Peak & Spark seem much more powerfull, but they are maybe lacking this "overdub" function you were mentionning.

Bye.

i use jasmine as my audio editor for Live though this may change with the new features in Live coming out. I've never used it for straight recording though.

I am having some trouble with Jasmine quiting unexpectantly but other than that I'm getting what I consider quality plenty good enough to sell my own CD's at my gigs . Thats about all I want to do with it and It will be nice to give my grandkids a lifes story of my life on a CD starting when I was a kid to now young 68 . It hasa cut and paste and a great fade feature so you can raise the guitar level on the lead guitar on the bridge of the song without messing with any knobs or switches . I can mute out any pops etc. with a selection start and selection end in the edit window and it all makes sence to me !!! thats the biggie . thanks for asking . Sailboat dick
I would like to find a shareware for adding harmony , anyone know of oneplease come back!!
