Luminous has a problem. I'm stuck and would really appreciate help. I'm running a new intel iMac 2.33 and Logic Express 7.2.3. My EWQLSO instrument Librarys are on a seperate Firewire hardrive. I can't get Logic to see the au plugs for EWQLSO, or the The NI Symphonic (Strings) interface. The au components are -eg- SOStrings.component version 1.0.3. The NI Symphonic (Strings) interface is ver 1.0.8. Maybe something is missing from the Libraries?

Hi, Luminous.

If you go to

http://www.soundsonline.com

and log into your account, you can find an installation checklist that tells you where everything is supposed to be after your installation. Sounds to me like something got put in a wrong folder somewhere. I can't give you a direct link to the checklist because you have to be logged in to access it, but I'd go there if I were you and see if you can't find an easy solution to this. I've had similar problems before, and it usually is something simple like a library folder being in the wrong place. EastWest is very helpful with these things. You can also email them directly, and they will promptly reply, which is rare in this day and age. They've always been very helpful to me.

Hi Luminous

While you are visiting soundsonline have a read of the product FAQ
http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/

The Kompakt player for EWQLSO is not supported by Intel Macs so the only way at the moment to get the library to load in a plugin in Logic is by using Native Instruments Kontakt 2.2
http://www.native-instruments.com:80/index.php?id=kontakt_us

There is a crossgrade to Kontakt 2 for Kompakt instrument owners for $269USD
otherwise you will need to wait for a Universal Binary EWQLSO player

more info from Soundsonline below

Intel Mac Compatibility
Many people have been asking us about Intel Mac compatibility for products that ship with Kompakt and Intakt sample players. At this time, these players are not compatible with Intel Macs. All of these products will load into Native Instruments' Kontakt 2, which should be a universal binary in the near future.

We will provide an update for products that ship with Kompakt and/or Intakt so you can use the samples on universal binaries, but not before November 2006 when Kontakt is scheduled to be updated. Following that, we will either switch our users to the Kontakt Player that will be released after the full Kontakt update, or to our own software if it is ready for release.

In either case, we hope to provide this update for free or at minimal cost.

There will also be an upgrade path to EastWest's PLAY (not released yet) for $49
