This is a brilliant soft. The price, also.

I don't get it, "a Garageband specific AudioUnit"? Wouldn't it also work in Logic Pro? I thought it would have to for compatibility reasons. Anybody have any insight to this?

New to the game so unsure on what a Channelstrip really does. Guess I will have to go do some research on it.

I'm wondering - does anyone know if ChannelStrip for GarageBand actually works in Logic Express or Logic Pro? It looks so worth the price ($89).

Anyone? huh.gif

from MH website, it's pretty clear…
QUOTE
The most important limitation is that ChannelStrip for GarageBand will only run within GarageBand. Although ChannelStrip for GarageBand is an AudioUnit it will only run in demo mode under other hosts. If, after using ChannelStrip for GarageBand, you decide that you would like to use it in other AudioUnit hosts, you may upgrade to ChannelStripAU for the difference in retail price ($276). Any settings that you create using ChannelStrip for GarageBand can be loaded into ChannelStripAU, ChannelStrip MAS, ChannelStrip VST and ChannelStrip TDM.

The second limitation is that ChannelStrip for GarageBand only includes online support. Telephone support for this product is unbundled and will require purchase of a support incident. As with all of our products, bug-fix and compatibility releases are available for free online.

Thanks, LPM. Yeah, I saw the site as well, but I was hoping maybe that Logic would be an exception to the rule, as a result of the fact that they're both Apple products, and GB projects work in Logic.

But even if it does only work in GB, I'm thinking that GB with ChannelStrip wouldn't be a bad standalone mastering solution. You wouldn't need more than two tracks at a time, and all the tools would be there, no? huh.gif
