Hey, i was just wondering if there is anyonje out there using the Lexicon Omega. I am trying to decide between this and the Presonus Firebox. While I like the fact that the Firebox is firewire, the features of the Omega seem more appealing to me. Also, how many tracks can the Firebox record at once? Is it four or am I mistaken? Thanks in advance for your input.

Hello,

I've been using the Omega for a few years now. I have the first bundle that came with Bias Deck. I mixed my entire album on it with no problems what-so-ever. I recorded my septet with additional instrumentation (full 24-track compositions) with no problems. Even though it is USB, I had no latency issues using it on my 1ghz G4 Powerbook. I even recorded four tracks at a time on some occassions. You can hear the songs here: www.oratai.com
