The M-Audio Nova vs. Behringer B-1.... Do you guys recommend one over the other, recording acoustic instruments & vocals.

Can't compare due to I only own the B1. Great basement mic and can't beat the price. Run through the MIC2200 the accoustics sound sweet. Screened right the vox are nice too with the soft knee setting. I've recorded a few cabinets as well with the -10 setting and it worked well.

What's your price range? The new Audio Technica AT2020 is around $99 and it is really sweet...it's my favorite under $100 mic right now. It has a very SLIGHT high end bump in the response...it really shines at acoustic guitar and vocals. In my opinion you can't get a better condenser under $100.

QUOTE (skitpuzz @ Apr 26 2005, 20:30) The M-Audio Nova vs. Behringer B-1.... Do you guys recommend one over the other, recording acoustic instruments & vocals. if its sound quality you want (which im assuming since you're doing acoustics), then i'd rather not choose a behringer (they have terrible sound quality). try either pioneer, numark, denon, or rane (pioneer's the best, however...) |
