Does anyone have any hot info on this new Optical Audio Line in on the new powerbooks 17" G4 ?!?! Does it mean powerbooks now are 8 track shiny audio workstation by themselves... and a digital mixer..?!? ...Oh! my my my..... Cheers! Guys... -------------------- Powerbook 17" G4 1,5 Ghz and LOGIC

what a drag - its so typical of apple to include a really useful fuction on the top models only - i mean who who who except for miilionaire
producers would ever use a 17" pbook for music?? and why do thry have to be silver??? stupid downmarket dolly bird computers that scratch if you so much as look at them.........no no no it doesnt help when users wet their pants in this gushing style fllllllaaaaaaame! |

I'm not a millionare but I felt the 17" PowerBook was a good investment. I use it as my main computer at home and in the studio and live, so I can use one machine for everything. My wish is that sometime real soon there will be Dual G5 version so I can run all my native plug ins....

The I/O is SPDIF, and that's stereo. It does mean that you can connect a preamp with the proper connections in the digital realm.
