Right now--I use Reason and DP4.12, with various other synths and guitars. What I'm looking for is pretty simple--just a program that I can drag audio files into and that will adjust the pitch and tempo like acid (and maybe be able to synch with DP4 via rewire).
I'd like something as simple as Acid. I don't need a lot of extra stuff with it. Is there any cheap and easy software out there that does this? Thanks in advance. |

Have you checked out Ableton Live? it's super easy and is really flexible. works great for changing tempo of different samples, just toss a loop in and it's ready to play. They have a demo on their site you can try it out and see if it fits your needs...

I'd recommend Apple Soundtrack. It is pathetically easy to use. Also you could look at Garageband, but I have not used it (but others here have, so they will weigh in soon enough.)

Apple hired the development team for Acid the result is the Sountrack product, basically Acid for the Mac.
Logic pro can read Apple loops, acid loops have to be converted to apple loops, which can be done easily with the free Apple Loop utility, batch processing mode. I've converted several Acid Libraries to Apple loops. -------------------- G-Dub

Thankd for the great replies. It sounds like Soundtrack is the way to go. I downloaded the demo of Live, but it seems to be way more product than I need.
