I am just buying a Powerbook 15" G4 1.25 with 10.3(Panther)and also M Audios Firewire 410. Can anyone assure me that this is a good system for recording music and approx the limitations of audio and midi? (how many tracks etc.) I have always stuck by my trusty Atari 1040 but realised it was time to switch. Ive owned macs for years but never for music as I had so many problems with cubase on the mac. Whats the timing like? Any glitching? Does the Firewire 410 work with OSX 10.3. Can you write an entire track in audio, I am assuming that the mac records the audio track so I wont need to take the device when arranging, is this right?? Any other advice, greatly appreciated Later |
