I'm trying to find a cheap program that allows you to create drum rhythms, something similar to PCs Fruity Loops. Preferably, this program would allow you to create a rhythm and then let you substitute a .wav file into each beat or line on a musical staff.
I was cutting and pasting diff. sound sources into Pro Tools 5.1 but there's gotta be a better way to do this. In Pro Tools 5.1 I can't view the timeline in 16th note increments, which seems ridiculous if you can't cut and paste on the beat or a denomination of the beat. For instance, if I want to place a sound on the "+" or the "e" of 1, I have to guess because I can't see the beats broken down in less than quarter notes. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. With my current method I should be finished a drum beat in 2005. please help!*. |
