I have a need to make original recordings and store them in MP3. I need my equipment to be portable and small. I have a large library of minidisk recordings and I want to continue with that format if possible.
The new Sony Minidisk recorders seem very appropriate EXCEPT * no Macintosh software * even the PC software won't let me import my original recordings to the computer (something to do with copyright protection schemes)
