Selecting My Fw1814 In Garage Band, Trying to record via my M-Audio Firewire 1814 in Garage Band

Rookie Group: Members Posts: 26 Joined: 12-Jul 06 From: Williston - US Member No.: 81,388	I am completely new to all of this. I just got a MacBook Pro and a M-Audio Firewire 1814 interface. I have my input and outputs on the System Preferences>sound screen set to the Firewire 1814 but when I open Garage Band, it only records via the built in mic. How do I select the interface within Garage Band? Also, can I monitor what's being played through the 1814 via the built-in speakers on my MacBook Pro? Thanks!
