Hey everyone,

I have a Mackie 1604 mixer and lately it has been clipping out on me. There are times when I cant even get any sound to come out of my system at all. I have talked to a few people and they told me that that is unfortunately a common problem with Mackie mixers and that it is almost more worth it to get a completely new one rather than pay to get it fixed. So the question I have is what should I replace it with? I would like it to be at least 16 tracks, and I loved the small size of my mackie because it fit in the rack that I have. I would also like it to cost under $1000. I am also need it to be good for both live performance and computer recording (in the process of getting a mac). I would really appreciate some advice on this. Thanks
