Whats up all I am in need of some info so I hope there is someone out there in a similiar situation that may have some answers.
First of all Ive been doin Live PA now for roughly 4 - 5 years and I have been creating and performing my material on hardware with an occasional intergration with cubase during the midi layout process but I am starting to become limited in what I can do with my out board gear as opposed to what I am trying to accomplish musically. So heres the deal Ive fabricated a setup that in theory I hope will solve my problems: Right now Im looking into a mac G4 titanium laptop to act as the 'brain' of my rig. What I need it to do is to be able to run Reason (for my percussion synced via Rewire with cubase (for midi out to my outboard synths). My question is what will I need as far as cutomizing my titanium (as in amount of RAM...etc.) inorder to do this competently and reliably without breaking the bank. I am also wondering if a titanium is the way to go in the first place cause I have been pricing powerbooks as well but I figure if Im gonna drop that much money into this I might as well do it right the first time.
