Hi. Currently running an 800 mhz ibook with 512 ram and external drive. Novation speedio interface. Predominantly for demoing while using a pretty loaded pc and an RME Hammerfall for more comprehensive stuff. Am in the market for a powermac to replace this. It's pretty simple, what do I need to get so that I'll rarely have to worry about upgrading? What combination of G5, how much ram etc. Or is a dual 1.25 G4 better value? Also try to consider video/audio capabilities of the machine. Sorry it's so open ended but If someone out there has anything resembling a happy set up I'd really appreciate a post. It's a lot of money!

Also, another question very open to opinion, but I have been using Nuendo on the PC - quite like it - what's the most mac friendly software? Logic? Pro tools?

Cheers, Glenn Richards, Australia.
