I bought a roland UA-5 USB/audio interface to make some recording of my 'garage' band. I use it with a white iBook. The only VST compatible software that worked a little with it is Cubase VST 32, logic audio is freezing fast when I launch it with the UA-5 connected, and Digital Performer works for recording but I can't get any monitoring.

On cubase VST, it records well ( the sound quality is very good), but I can play the recording only once, and then the processor overuse on the VST performance panel is lighted, no sound is produced when I try to play, and there is no input/output monitored on both the channel mixer paneland the master panel, so I have to re-launch VST each time I want to play, and I can't record and play at the same time. quite anoying to record the instruments one at a time...

Does anyone got this interface (which is very good for general soudn manager use) to work ?

thanks a lot

Tristan
