I recently bought Logic Express and a MOTU MIDI Express 128. I'm
slowly getting used to all of this - my studio used to be all Opcode.

So after driving myself crazy trying to get Logic to send beat clock,
I have come to the conclusion that there is some sort of problem with
the combination of Logic and the MIDI Express. I finally figured out
that I can get Logic to send clock, but it only works on one port of
the interface. If I send clock on "All" it seems to only send on
port 1.

I wrote to tech support at MOTU and Emagic. I got a response back
from MOTU saying that the MIDI Express will send beat clock on all
ports with MOTU's Performer (one would hope) and that it is
application dependent. Emagic.de forwarded my question to
EmagicUSA.com, but I have received no response yet.

Has anyone out there successfully gotten beat clock out of all the
ports of a MOTU MIDI Express 128?

Am I missing something really basic?

Is there someway to add something to my environment to force clock
out all the ports?

Do I just have to return my MIDI Express 128 and pay $100 extra for
an AMT8? (granted I would also get a panic button and a stand-alone
patch bay)
