I've been shopping for a pair of studio monitors on a budge of $400 (US). I keep coming back to the Alesis M1A MK2. I don't have room for a separate amp so I want something active. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone have another brand they favor in the same price range?

Just shopping around for some ideas. Thanks.
