sorry for that question but i just got a new powerbook 1.25ghz with 1 gig of ram --- i am using an echo layla.
when i use cubase 1.06 or reason 2.5, projects that were rock solid on the pc are seriously putting a strain on the mac cpu. even the reason demo does. that shouldnt happen. right?
i thought surely the 1.25ghz mac would be at least as powerful if not more powerful than a 1.8ghz pc.

could it be bad ram? i bought it from macMall, and they installed the 1gig memory upgrade. was that a mistake?

what could be making this beautifull machine so slow?

thanks in advance
