yeah. im interesting in finding an affordable program which lets me plug into my computer and record multiple tracks (guitar). i have an old 4 track cassette recorder and it no longer cuts it... i dont care TOO much about the bells and whistles (although they are nice). i was leaning towards garage band, but i dont really know any better. suggestions?

Dude, you wanna get your hands on Logic Education - it retails for about 80 pounds in the UK - about $50?

It's a simple piece of kit, and if you ever do decide to progress to the higher end of logic, you'll be familiar with the interface.
