hello, i have been around the forum asking what would be the best audio interface/audio software. i have a g4 400 mhz with 640 ram and i am running panther. i have a budget of about 1000 dollars. i was wondering if anybody would have some advice on what to buy.
my plan was to buy the motu 828mk2 with either dp4 or logic express... is this wise for proper vocal recording? my style of music is hip hop, any help would be great for i am ready to start buying. thanks |

I think maybe Logic Express would be best software for your computer. I've got a G4 1GHz, and I've heard that most of the programs lag, but Logic is made by Apple, so... there you go! =)
I'm looking at Logic for the speed, mostly, and the MIDI. Pro Tools isn't the best thing for people that are doing a lot of sequencing, IMHO. I can't wait to get my MOTU 828 mkII!!! It's like heaven (input and connectivity wise) compared to my MBox. |
