I'm evaluating music software on a low-end iBook (G3 700 MHz 384 Mb) and since I'm on a zero budget (I don't want to spend anything on hardware until I know what I'm doing) I'd like to use the iBooks keyboard as input and the built-in sound card as a synth for output.

I have succeded in using programmes like MidiKeys and v.m.k. to input MIDI, but I can't seem to play it through the iBook (it should at least have GM, right??)

All suggestions are welcome!
