Can anyone tell me the best way to go about creating a 5.1 track?

My setup is 1ghz Flat panel iMac, and I am alooking at purchasing Logic Express for my audio and midi.

Many thanks

Mike

Logic Express doesn't support 5.1 mixing. You need Logic pro for surround features.

You will need an audio interface with at least 6 outputs.
Hardest part is the monitoring system, I've been experimenting with my Sony home theater system it has a set of inputs that bypass the dolby surround circuit.

Apps like Logic Pro or DP4 do not have encoders for Dolby surround, You will need DVD Studio Pro, or a standalone encoder.

There are a few dedicated forums, Google surround audio.
