Here's where I've been:
Here's what I'm thinking of getting:
I want to stick with MOTU software 'cause I'm very used to Performer. I have heard the MOTU interfaces have lots of features and have really nice converters (short of lucid and apogee) for the bucks. I do a lot of solo stuff, so I don't need tons of inputs. I'd like lots of tracks (as many as 48+), so I can comp tracks insanely. I'm resigned to mixing in the box (yeuch!), although my next door neighbor has a nice Soundworkshop board and DP 4, so I've got those options. Thanks in Advance, -Todzilla |

Sounds good to me, you could get by with AudioDesk for awhile. it's like DP without midi editing.
A newer dual G4, or G5 will do more than you need. I'm currently running DP4 on a 1GHz Powerbook, and an ancient G4/400 with no problems.828 audio interface. -------------------- G-Dub
