Hi gollumis.
I run the 828 mkII with a mac G5 and Logic 6 Platinum. I've had no problems with the mkII. It's a great interface. I don't think Logic Express has the Compressor, although Logic Pro does. There is a comparison chart with all the plug-ins in the 2 Logic programs on the emagic website. Go to:

http://www.emagic.de/products/PRO/comparis...dio.php?lang=EN

"...I just don't know...it sounds funny."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac G5, dual 2.0 GHz, MOTU 828 MkII interface, Virus TI Keyboard, Genelec 1029A and Mackie HR824 monitors, Mackie Control Universal, Presonus Eureka and ART DPS II preamps, Presonus Central Station, AKG C1000S and C3000 mics. Logic Pro 7.2, Trilogy, Stylus, Atmosphere, Native Instruments Komplete 2.
