Hi all,
I am just about to purchase a 15 inch G4 powerbook 1.5ghz and intend to run Logic Express. Would anyone be able to tell me how many tracks of audio I could expect to run smoothly if: - no plug ins are being used - recorded at 16 bit quality Cheers |

Should be no problem playing back 48 tracks, disk speed is the primary factor for track count.
After testing 60 audio tracks on my ancient G4/400 I became bored. I also have a 12-inch 1GHz Powerbook, I've been able to use up to 16 soft-synths in a song, using the "Freeze" function to free up CPU. I've yet to max it out. -------------------- G-Dub
