Hi all,

I am just about to purchase a 15 inch G4 powerbook 1.5ghz and intend to run Logic Express.

Would anyone be able to tell me how many tracks of audio I could expect to run smoothly if:

- no plug ins are being used
- recorded at 16 bit quality

Cheers

Should be no problem playing back 48 tracks, disk speed is the primary factor for track count.

After testing 60 audio tracks on my ancient G4/400 I became bored.

I also have a 12-inch 1GHz Powerbook, I've been able to use up to 16 soft-synths in a song, using the "Freeze" function to free up CPU.

I've yet to max it out.
