Hi
I just can't seem to get any sound in there! i've got a bass guitar into the back of an m-audio ozone, into my iMac. I can't hear anything, or see any activity in Logic, is it something to do with the dreaded environment window? Help please! Any Logic users out there please respond! Gary |

if you have done the above you will need to open logic. go to preferences change the audio device tha logic should use.. close the prefs and and restart logic by closing and reopening.
after logic is open with the correct device as the audio hardware. you would (this is the short version) double click on an audio track to open the mixer. go to the audio track you wish to record on and change the input to the desired input of you audio device. then you would click the R or rec at the bottom of the fader for that channel. now you have targeted that audio track for recording with the desired input from your audio device. if you are using logic 6 you would just highlight the audio track and look in he bottom left corner, and do the same thing. if you think that you have a bad environment. you should move or delete your autoload file if you have one. if not you can go to the logic setup and create a new untitled file that will load the next time you use logic. also check to make sure that you have the audio sample format the same as it is in the audio/midi prefs for osx. usually logic will change this automatically when you open it, but who knows it is a computer. right? i hope this gives you some ideas on what to check for. happy recording, editbrain |
