Is there a way to use audiounit plugins like the ones of motu in a

No, don't think there is enough demand. Most 3rd party plugs have multiple versions.
Speclulation is that MAS is a dead/dying format now that DP supports AU. The REAL question is when will Steinberg keep their promise and add AU support? Wouldn't be the first time they backpeddled on an issue.
