I'm getting an iBook G4 800Mhz, 640Mb, 60G to run Traktor DJ Studio.
MP3's will be stored on an external 160Gb LaCie d2 Firewire HD. Audio I/O is the new M-audio Firewire Audiophile 4in/6out Interface. Both of these devices will run on the same FW400 bus. They both have individual power supplies. Two stereo audio tracks will run off the ext. HD to Traktor, so I can adjust speed and beatmatch them and then will be sent out to the ext. audio card, so I can mix them with my Korg DJ mixer. Can the FW400 bus handle all this?! I've heard it shouldn't be a problem until you get into 8 tracks or more, but I still find this too good to be true. Thanks! |
