I recently asked about the O1X and I got some helpful responses, but are there anymore users out there that can tell me whether it is or isn't Mac OS X compatible yet?
Some sites say yes and some say no. ...And I only found 2 places where they even have them in stock.
How come the major music stores, like Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc. don't have them. MusiciansFriend.com, Samedaymusic.com, etc. don't have them either. How come?
In one of the info. movie clips they mention that for Mac OS X is going to eventually be part of the O1X's operating system , so my main question is, ....have they done that yet? .....Is the O1X.. Mac OS X compatible yet?
Any response would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm also a happy owner of a 01X!
Mac OS X is not yet supported. But it soon will be (a matter of days?). And the coolest thing is that mLAN will be a part of Mac OS X! The question is if the support will only be in Panther (Mac OS X 10.3) and not in Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2). I'll probably get Panther anyway, so it's not a very big deal if Jaguar wont be supported...
The bundled effects are already in Audio Unit format, which may explain why some of the sites you've seen says the 01X is OS X compatible.
Apparently the 01X was being demo'ed at the recent NAMM show running audio hooked up to a Mac running OS X. The MIDI-part was still missing, though. So obviously the support is not far away...
I got this info from the forums at www.01Xray.com and www.mlancentral.com. You can also check www.yamahasynth.com.
