I'm currently using an mBox with Pro Tools LE. I'm very comfortable with ProTools but I'm not satisfied with the MIDI. So, I'm thinking of switching to Logic Express when it comes out. It'll do everything that ProTools does and does notatio, which I like.
So, what I need to know is, what would be a logical replacement for my mBox? What plugin architecture does Logic use? Will there be a learning curve? Any other ideas would be great. BTW, Garage Band rocks. I know there has been some discussion around here - just my two cents. Thanks |

I am not familiar with Logic express but Logic itself does notation.
I feel that ProTools is best for audio editing and sequencing but Logic does midi best. There is a bit a learning curver until you understnad how the different windows in Logic operates and understand how midi is routed but as long as you read the manual and understand midi basics... you can learn Logic. You can keep your Mbox and use Logic with it actually. Logic in OS9 uses VST and Logic in OSX uses AU (audio unit) plugs. I have yet to try garageband but it does look interesting -------------------- ----------------------------------------
