Hi all,

I would like to have tour opinion on the Digi 002 :

I plan to have 2 synths (Minimoog + virus KC) conected to a Powerbook G4 (and maybe a sherman filterbank) to create trance.

I am doubting in between the digi 002 and Logic as I am quite new in this and even if I know that Logic seems better for sequencing, I would prefer something easy to work with (3 windows instead of 99) : the digi 002.

Then, if I manage Protools I can always use the hardware (audio card + mixer) to control Logic right?

Do you find this correct and wise, or should I directly get Logic Platinum + Motu 828?

Thanks.

Yep, the Digi002 will work fine for what you seek. The midi is less featured than Logic but is still very usable. I created the "Galactic Thrush" song on the MacMusic CD entirely within ProTools LE and Digi001 using midi with my CS6x.

Working with audio in PTLE is very easy also... easier to sequence and edit audio regions in my opinion plus some of the plugs have really good sound quality.

Yes you should be able to use Logic with the Digi002 as well. I use Logic 4.8.1 with my Digi001 as the input and output source. cool.gif

The 828mkII is a sweet unit but I would prefer the Digi002 simply because it comes with the ProTools LE
