Hello all! I'm new to MAC and I just recently purchased a G5 1.6, I gig of RAM, 80gig HD. I'm looking at geting a good soundcard and was looking at the MOTU 828 MK II. I'll be running Logic 6, Kontact and a few other pieces of software controlled by a MIDI synth.
I've heard that using a firewire soundcard can be bad news, is this true even with the power of the G5? Thank you for your time. J |

Yeah, you're right! I have it hooked up now and it's the best soundcard I've ever had. It really has the most bang for the buck. A lot of features that I really like. Thanks again!
