Hi Everyone

I currently own a Powerbook G4 12.1".
I want to set up a suitable studio to carry out sequencing, sampling...etc.
I will be using Logic 6 but I want to know what other essentials are needed to make it worthwhile.

Also..is the 12.1" a good investments?...I have read articles saying that the amount of programming can take its toll on the CPU...Is there any way to overcome this if that is the case?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanx!!!

the motu 828mkll is one serious piece of hardware. i would recomend it to any mac user. it comes with a audiodesk. which is a audio track recorder. i don't know if it would work with logic audio. i would assume that it would. if not motu makes an application called Digital Performer. which is a serious sequencer/recorder.

my setup in the home studio as of today i sold my mixer is a 12" powerbook (fully loaded rev. 1), midiman 2x2, ensoniq asr-10, logic audio (silver). that is all as of today.
in the main studio we have pc runing logic platinum, 32 channel board, orbit, morpheus, vintage keys, roland r-70 drum machine, 2 shure-57 mics, audiotechnica 4033 condensor mic, delta 10-10, roland monitors, alesis amp, juno 106, novation bass station, bass guitar, electric guitar, a compressor, zoom studio efx, digitech 4in-4out effects rack.

i was thinking of buying a m-audio firewire 410 for the house. put one on lay-away yesterday with some of the money from the mixer. i really want a motu 828mkll. i might have the money for that when it comes time to get the 410 out. i might just have to splurge the extra $300.
