I am about to purchase a G5 Dual 1.8 (my first Mac) and an 828mkII and up until recently I was going to use CubaseSX2. After reading some rather bad reports on Cubase for G5 and Panther I've decided to think about other software. I was thinking maybe DP4 as it is dedicated to the Mac and seems to be a great application. I considered Logic but I've heard it takes complicated ways around easy functions (plus the price is a bit too high). Has anyone had much experience running DP4 on a G5 with Panther and the 828mkII? Any comments are welcome.
Thanks. Kai |

QUOTE (KaiKProd @ Dec 3 2003, 17:11) I considered Logic but I've heard it takes complicated ways around easy functions (plus the price is a bit too high). I am curious as to what are some examples of "complicated ways around easy functions". I use Logic on panther on a G5 dual 2 GHz and it works very well. Logic, like performer, is also dedicated to the mac. Logic is also the first sequencer to be optimized for the Power Mac G5. |
