Hi I’m looking at doing some music on my G4 450. I also want to do it by mouse, as I am a disabled person with limited use of my hands. The system should cost less then 1,000 dollars. Any suggestions on products?
What I think I need. · A recording/mixing program. No more then 24 channels will be needed. Also voice recording capabilities. · A synth program that has easy step writing on screen interface. Able to loop sequences. · A drum program with the same requirements as synth. · Effects program · A exporter to formats like mp3 and QuickTime. Anything else? |

I'd recommend a ProTools LE setup...it now comes with a slimmed down version of Reason. (If the slimmed down version isn't enough, get the full version...you'll still be under $1000). I finally bought a keyboard, just for kicks, but I had been doing all of my synth building in Reason itself.
Digidesign Mbox $450 Propellerhead's Reason $350 |
