I've got some DAT audio tapes full of mixdowns from old demos I made. I would like to transfer them to my G4.
I don't own a DAT machine so would rent one. Is the output on the DAT machines the same as on a DV camcorder? Is there a way to plug the DAT into the computer via Firewire that wouldn't require some other hardware device? How about plugging the DAT into my DV camcorder? Maybe I can dump the audio to the camcorder, then capture it to the computer. Any advice appreciated. |

The output on a consummer Dat is SPDIF, it comes in two forms coaxial, and optical.
Most prosumer audio cards have spidif. -------------------- G-Dub
