Hi there,

I worked with my G3, Logic 4.8 and OMS 2.3.8, Midisport 2x2 and it was oke. Now with my new Powerbook G4, MacOs 9.2 and OMS the trouble started. First I copied my setup from the G3, that didn't work (huge delay and no Midi in). Then I made a new setup with the same result or worse.
Does anyone has a clue what's wrong and is there a better Midi software solution for Logic (and Reason) without OMS or Freemidi ?

Greetings from Holland.

Hi from Australia

Ive been using OMS + Midisport 2x2 with Cubase 4 and also 5 with no probs (as long as virtual memory is turned off) for a couple of years in my G3 iMac. At the suggestion of my Mac guru I upgraded from OS 9.0.4 to 9.2 and now the Midi timing is terrible. Interestingly you can play files by outputting to Quicktime but that doesnt really help the prob. I think that there is an incompatibility between OS 9.2 (and also 9.1 as I tried that before 9.2) and OMS but that is only a guess.

Maybe we will have to retrofit 9.0.4!!!

I hope someone has a simpler solution.

Matthew
