I am using Amplitube Live and have a Audiophile USB to which a guitar is directly connected.

The program will not recognize the guitar and does not even indicate the levels coming into it.

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to plug the guitar into something else before plugging it into the Audiophile USB box?

THANK YOU!!!

well... you might want to check your prefs in Amplitude and see if it recognizes your audio interface. Also... crank up the gain for the inputs because if you are running direct from guitar and no DI box or no preamp then signal is gonna be weak but should be usable.

if the app is recognizing your interface and is record enabled then try plugging and unpluggin the guitar cable to see if it makes any pops or jumps in level... if so and you are not getting a signal still... then it may gave something to do with the weak signal from the guitar... active pickups produce a little more signal and passive too... keep this in mind. wink.gif
