Hi All,

I've just brought a G4 powerbook and Logic Audio Gold exs edition. I need to be able to record samples from cds and albums. What software is best for doing this.

I can't see anywhere on the powerbook that allows you to record anything either on cd drive or from an external line.

I'm going to try and use the Imic as a 'cheap' line in option for the moment, but need to be able to record what I'm pulling into the computer.

Many thanks,

Slante,

Craig

You need a Firewire or USB audio interface to get sound in.

You can extract and convert CD tracks with QuickTime or iTunes.

Applications like Peak, Spark, and ReCycle are better tools, and they also support hardware samplers.
