Hello! I am a music "duffer" who has played around with MIDI sequencers, etc. and have enjoyed it. Just discovered the MacMusic site and like it so far.
Today at a yard sale I picked up a copy of Coda Finale 3.2.1 (all manuals, 2 floppy discs). But I have some questions - and if any of this is inappropriate, please let me know. 1) When installing the program, Disk 1 was fine, but Disk 2 is unreadable. Does anyone know if Coda replaces disks from a version so far back (circa 1994)? If not, are there any other options for getting the second half of that installer? 2) Will this version of Finale run on Mac OS 9 (full boot, not classic)? Thanks. Any help is appreciated. KAI |

Well, i contacted Coda Software and they told me:
- the software cannot be upgraded or transferred because it was an academic version. - they cannot replace the disk because of the age of the software. Both reasonable answers, certainly - but it leaves me no better off than when I started. Anyone have any other ideas (besides buying Finale 2003, which i cannot afford or downloading it illegally)? Thanks! |
