I have a bog standard 7300/200,no extra hardware.Do I need to buy a soundcard to use MIDI,or can I use the printer port or another connection?

printer port and 2nd hand Midi interface with serial connection will do just fine.
Just keep in mind there's no support on Opcode products for years now, but MOTU and Emagic stuff will do the job ok.
