Hey folks,
First of all i must say this forum rules! Now for the questions? 1. Should i get a PowerMac G4 1.25 or Dual 1.25? ( I only ask because i'll be using my Korg Triton to record via midi, and some audio work. Nothing too crazy. ) 2.For Midi/Audio work should i get Logic Gold or Logic Platinum? (Is it really worth paying alot more for Platinum if i probably won't even use all the features on Platinum? Or will i need it?) I would like to know if i can save money by getting a regular G4 1.25 with Logic Gold instead of emptying my pockets on a dual 1.25 and platinum. Thanks guys, Webdev |

All three versions of Logic (Plat, Gold, Audio) now support 24-bit audio files. What Platinum has that Gold doesn't is support for 24-bit TDM systems and, as Synthetic mentioned, Surround capabilities (including TDM), among other things like a few plug-ins. Have a look through the comparison charts here to see what else you might miss out on and decide from there.
