As the topic title suggests, I'm looking to buy one of these little guys for some basic surfing, publishing and hopefully putting together some music (from an external source), as I'm on a fairly tight (sub 1k) budget. I'm a bit concerned, though, about the basic stated audio specifications - the whole system appears to be integrated, so I have no idea what it'd be capable of. Can it even record full duplex (ie play and record sound simultaniously)?
If not, can you upgrade the sound devices for all-in-one machines such as this?

Cheers very muchly..

Hello JR.
The eMac runs OS-X, and therefore has full audio capabilities built in. The full specs can be found at : Apple eMac Specs... One of the biggest selling points for osX is it's native audio support, and Apple would not sell a system that did not support the software included with your purchase.

This should be a very good choice, considering your needs. With it's built in firewire, usb and line in ports, you should be well served.

Have a Great Day ! .......... Tom
