Could someone please explain to me how I use audio units in logic?

Is it as simple as creating an "audio units" folder and putting them in there like with vst instruments?

Audio Units should be located in:

Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>Components
(These audio units are available to all users of the system)

or

Users>"Your login name">Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>Components
(These audio units are only available to the user who is logged in to the system with the corresponding login name).

If you are the only user of your computer just install them into
Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>Components
Go to the top of the page
