i am trying to connect my akai sampler to my new g4 titanium, which needs scsi card for it. someone suggested getting adaptec slim scsi but in my local apple store, they say scsi for laptops are so unstable they stopped selling it!- basically cant get it in my country. but i wonder is it true? does anyone uses akai on laptop? is there any other scsi card?

An alternative to a SCSI card is a 2nd Wave Firewire to SCSI Adapter

I haven't tried it with an AKAI sampler however i can confirm it works with external CD-RW drives, Scanners, fixed and removable drives.

It retails for US$99 however the link above has it for $78.95
