Does anyone know how to record a software synth running on the same mac as the recording software?  In my case, I am using Studio Vision on an iMac and would like to record to disk rather than use midi.  The only way I have been able to do this is by routing the iMac's output to a mixer and then routing the mixer back to the iMac's input. In Studion Vision I would then select the External Mic input to record from.  While this works, it creates latency problems and I am sure that there is a better way.  Thanks...

This appears to work as advertised but doesn't solve my problem since I need something that routes sound out to sound in my audio software. The best way to do this that I can think of is first record the music as a midi sequence and then record the software synthesizer as audio by bridging the external out jack to the external in. This works fine with no latency.
