I need a computer for audio recording and I'm leaning towards a Mac, but I keep hearing all these things about software not running in OS X or 9.1. All new Macs come with OS X and 9.1, will I be able to run Logic audio/Cubase with this? I have a budget of about $2500(for computer ,with educational discount, and soundcard), what would you recomend(I don't need more than 2 inputs, but I do need midi)? Thanks in advance

Absolutley, the Mac is the only way to go. Give the software people a chance to catch up on developing for OS 9.1 and 10. You won't be sorry..You will be crative.
